“ Nice service, food is good - lulas grelhadas, (grilled squid) are tasty but would be even better with some kind of sauce. French fries are really crispy and tasty! They could give you more, though. The panacotta and chocolate mousse are both excellent. Good selection of ice creams. ”
“ Visited half December 2019, and it was an absolute delight. Very warm-hearted welcome, service with an eye for every detail, very correct cooking, and some surprising details - olives marinated in whiskey for one. Much recommended! ”

“ Mixed feelings about this place. I tried an okay soup of the day and very fresh "mixed fried fish", although it was just one type of fish. Not sure why it was labeled "mixed". It came with a soggy tomato rice that was not good. Kind of pricey for the amount of food. Service was very slow. Beware of the appetizers they bring to your table as you are seated. They are not complimentary. On the contrary, more expensive than a main course. I would stay away from them if you value your money. ”
“ I’m reading all these negative reviews and I’m baffled by it all. We’ve visited this restaurant many times and have for the most part, enjoyed every outing. Most of our visits here are in the off season and perhaps when things are busier, there might be different staff working. The waiter that usually serves us is Antonio. He is a down to earth guy who makes you feel right at home. He’ll talk to you like you were a family member. How typical Portuguese. Nothing wrong with that in my book. After all, remember where you are. Service is quick and commentary by Antonio is always aplenty. Maybe some people don’t like that. If that’s the case, there are always restaurants around that charge you double than what they charge here and the waiter will only say “yes sir or no sir”. For what it’s worth, I would recommend a visit to Corte Real and judge for yourself. I know I’ll be going back. ”
